New warehouse strengthens JS Air Curtains service
JS Air Curtains has further strengthened its ability to serve customers across the UK with the introduction of a new warehouse facility. The move supports the company’s continued growth while delivering faster, more reliable, and more transparent service.
At the heart of this upgrade is a shift to palletised distribution through Roberts Transport (Sussex), a proud member of the Palletways UK network for the past eight years. This marks a significant step forward in how products are handled, tracked and delivered.
What this means for customers
By moving to palletised freight, JS Air Curtains is improving every stage of the delivery journey:
- Faster, more reliable deliveries through a structured nationwide network
- Improved product protection, reducing the risk of damage in transit
- Full tracking and visibility, giving customers greater confidence and control
- More efficient distribution, helping orders move quickly and predictably
Palletways is one of the UK’s leading express pallet networks, connecting more than 130 independent transport providers. Through a network of over 450 depots and 20 hub operations across 24 European countries, it enables freight to move efficiently between locations using a hub-and-spoke system.
This means consignments are collected locally, routed through central hubs, and delivered quickly via established routes - reducing handling, improving consistency, and speeding up delivery times to provide a better experience for customers.
Enhanced logistics through a trusted partnership
Roberts Transport (Sussex) is a family-run logistics provider employing more than 50 staff and operating a fleet of over 30 vehicles. Its fleet ranges from 3.5-tonne vans for smaller deliveries through to 44-tonne articulated HGVs used for nationwide distribution.
It recently relocated operations to a 21,000 sq. ft site in Wick, Littlehampton, consolidating its previous two locations into a single, larger base. This expanded facility increases storage capacity and enhances overall delivery capabilities.
For JS Air Curtains customers, this translates into greater flexibility, improved stock availability, and a logistics operation that can scale with demand.
Tony Fleming, Managing Director of JS Air Curtains, commented:
“Working with Roberts Transport and utilising the Palletways network is a big step forward for us. The new warehouse gives us greater capacity and flexibility, while palletised distribution helps ensure our products reach customers quickly and safely. Ultimately, it means we can continue to improve the reliability and service our customers expect from JS Air Curtains.”
Dave Roberts, Managing Director of Roberts Transport, added:
“Being a family run company, we have a 'can do' approach and as a result, we have built up good relations with many companies, large and small. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation, gained through providing outstanding service throughout the UK and Europe and we are excited to be appointed as JS Air Curtains’ trusted logistics partner.”
By investing in both infrastructure and logistics, JS Air Curtains is ensuring it can continue to provide efficient order fulfilment, dependable delivery, and a consistently high level of service as demand for its air curtain solutions continues to grow.
The result is simple: a stronger logistics network designed around what matters most - delivering the best possible experience for customers.
